OPINION:
The two-day Republican Midterm Convention kicks off Sept. 9 in Dallas, and on the table for discussion is a panel on what separates the GOP from the Democrats in terms of visions for America.
That’s an easy one. Republicans want to save America. Democrats want to destroy it. Any questions?
The latest ploy of the leftist lunatics who’ve swept away any bit of moderation remaining in the Democrat Party is to pretend they’re not leftists. Seriously.
“I’d rather think of myself as a capitalist who has actually read about capitalism,” said Abdul El-Sayed, in the lead-up to his Democrat Party primary win for U.S. Senate in Michigan, to CBS News. “I’m not a socialist.”
Not a socialist?
El-Sayed is not a socialist like Santa Claus is not fat — talk about a double-whammy of fantasy.
“I’m not DSA,” he said in this same interview.
OK. Now that’s just hilarious. Sure, El-Sayed may not be on the official membership list of the Democratic Socialists of America; he may not pay dues to the DSA. But he’s attended DSA’s events. He’s voiced support for virtually the same issues the DSA supports. He’s raised money for the DSA.
“Between 2017 and 2020, El-Sayed attended and spoke at six events held by the DSA, including a 2019 fundraiser which he headlined,” Fox News wrote in July.
Things that make you go hmmm.
Even the DSA is like, what the freak, Abdul.
From Fox once again: “At the 2019 event, which raised $10,000 for the organization, El-Sayed was described by DSA organizers as ‘a longtime friend of Detroit DSA.’ He was photographed smiling next to Rep. Rashida Tlaib, a self-described socialist, behind a table with a poster on it depicting a hand labeled ‘DSA’ choking a snake labeled ‘capitalism.’”
Apparently, El-Sayed is only a DSAer until he’s not. This is how socialists operate, though — in the dark.
‘Lest it be forgotten: “Dr. Abdul El-Sayed’s campaign released a new ad ‘Abolish ICE,’” his campaign site, AbdulForSenate.com, posted in July.
And this: “Far-left Florida Democrat Angie Nixon claims GOP is ‘literally trying to kill’ Black Americans,” Fox News posted in August, of the socialist running for Senate as a Democrat in Florida.
And this: “Crazy Begets Crazy in New York City,” a headline from The Dispatch about the socialism that’s sweeping through the Democrat Party, manifesting at its worst in a candidate like House hopeful Darializa Avila Chevalier. The Dispatch goes on to remind that “she is for abolishing all prisons, eliminating the police, erasing the border, legalizing prostitution, controlling prices to deal with inflation, and nationalizing vast swaths of the economy, including seizing property from landlords.”
And why not?
If socialism means anything, it’s that socialists can say whatever they want that will get them elected, all the while doing the exact opposite.
“DSA leader gets sued for eviction while living off his rich dad’s $1,5 million townhouse,” Blue Lives Matter posted in August, about New York City DSA co-chair Gustavo Gordillo.

See how it works?
When the voters are ignorant, driven by emotion, and concerned only with getting what they can from government — meaning taxpayers and tax-paid benefit programs — then the backgrounds of politicians and the truths of their anti-American agendas don’t matter, so long as they continue to pound the ground for more, more, more taxpayer-funded benefits for the masses. That’s that “warmth of collectivism” New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani raves about; the idea that American producers and creators should give up what they produce and create so the happily unproductive and willfully uncreative can stay home and eat chips and play PlayStation.
Republicans need only point out how very fringe these socialists are, and how very little they walk what they talk.
The winning GOP campaign strategy for this November is to simply let the Democrats-socialists-Marxists speak — and then play back their recent statements and speeches while pointing to how they actually live. They can’t run from their lies and hypocrisies forever, and they know this, or else they wouldn’t be trying to distance themselves and distract voters from their own statements and speeches and lifestyles right now.
