NEW ORLEANS (AP) - A New Orleans sheriff’s deputy charged with malfeasance in connection with a teenage jail inmate’s suicide faces arraignment on April 25.
Online court records show the date was set for Keriana Alexcee. She was arrested earlier this month after an investigation of last October’s suicide at the jail by 15-year-old Jaquin (jah-KWAHN’) Thomas.
An arrest affidavit accused Alexcee of failing to make timely checks on Thomas, who was being held on a murder charge.
