TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Tucson police have detained a man while the bomb squad checks his vehicle for explosives.

Sgt. Pete Dugan said the man went into a credit union on the city’s east side Friday morning and was angry about something when he reportedly said he had explosives in his car.

Media outlets report that employees evacuated the Hughes Federal Credit Union.

Dugan says the man went outside, got into his car and stayed in it for about a half-hour before finally coming out.

Dugan says it’s not immediately known whether there’s any explosive in the man’s car or what prompted the incident.
