PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Police say an off-duty Philadelphia police officer shot and wounded her husband in the driveway of their Bucks County home.

Northampton Township Police Chief Michael Clark says the officer shot her husband once in the abdomen early Tuesday morning. He is expected to survive.

No charges have been filed, although the investigation is ongoing. Their names have not been released.

The couple’s three children were inside the home at the time. Clark says they have been turned over to child welfare services.

Clark says the officer did not use her department-issued gun.

Philadelphia police are also conducting an internal investigation.
