BARHAMSVILLE, Va. (AP) - Authorities say two men were injured when they tried to break out of a Virginia jail.

Col. Alisa Gregory of the Henrico County Sheriff’s Office said by telephone Wednesday that the men broke off from a group in Henrico Jail East on Tuesday night and scaled an inside fence.

Gregory says they were caught on camera as they tried to scale the first of two perimeter fences. She says their jackets didn’t shield them from the barbed wire and both were cut.

Gregory says Clayton Musselman, who’s serving more than three years for grand larceny and a probation violation, has returned to the jail. She says Frank Arthur, who’s awaiting trial on drug charges, is still at the hospital for observation.

She says both are expected to face escape charges.
