DETROIT (AP) - The Detroit City Council’s Green Task Force will recognize residents who are helping to improve the city’s neighborhoods.
One resident from each of Detroit’s city districts will be acknowledged Saturday during a program at the UAW-Ford National Program Center for participating in clean ups and a curbside recycling program.
A few businesses also will be recognized.
The event runs from 10 a.m. to noon and also is a celebration of Earth Day.
