Jefferson City police investigate man’s death as suspicious

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) - Authorities are investigating the death of a 63-year-old man in Jefferson City as suspicious.

Police say officers responding to a reported assault about 11 p.m. Thursday found Jerry Robertson wounded. He was flown to a Columbia hospital, where he died.

Police have not elaborated about the cause of Robertson’s injuries.

Police on Friday were asking for public help in seeking any information about what led to Robertson’s injuries.

There was no immediate word on any suspects or charges.
