JERSEY CITY, N.J. (AP) - A Hudson Bergen Light Rail train struck and killed a man in Jersey City.

NJ Transit says it happened around 8:45 a.m. Friday as the train was traveling northbound between Richards Street and Caven Point Facility.

NJ Transit says approximately 300 passengers were transferred to another light rail vehicle.



Light rail traffic was suspended between Danforth Avenue and Liberty State Park while police conducted their investigation.
