KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - A Kansas City, Missouri, man is accused of fatally shooting a man during a reported argument.

Jackson County prosecutors charged 30-year-old John L. Williamson with second-degree murder and armed criminal action.

Court documents allege that officers responding April 16 to reported gunfire found Robert Witmer wounded, and that Witmer told them he had been shot by Williamson. Investigators say Williamson was arrested in a shed nearby, and police seized a handgun from him.

Authorities allege that a witness said that during an argument between the two men, Witmer picked up a rock and threatened to hit Williamson before Williamson shot Witmer.

Online court records don’t show whether Williamson has an attorney.
