UTICA, N.Y. (AP) - Jury selection is underway in the trial of an upstate New York woman charged with fatally poisoning her boss in 2015.

Twenty-three-year-old Kaitlyn Conley, of Sauquoit (suh-QWOYT’), is facing a trial on second-degree murder charges in the death of 60-year-old Mary Yoder.

Prosecutors say Conley was working as a receptionist for the chiropractic office in Whitesboro that was run by Yoder and her husband. Authorities say Conley obtained an anti-inflammatory drug and used it to poison Yoder, who fell ill and died in July 2015.

Relatives later contacted police because they believed her death was suspicious. Conley was charged last June.

Jury selection has begun Monday in Oneida County Court in Utica.
