MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) - Vermont’s Republican Gov. Phil Scott will pick John Quinn to lead the newly-created Agency of Digital Services.
Scott spokeswoman Rebecca Kelley said in a news release Monday that Quinn has been working as an information technology professional with state government since 2001. He was most recently Scott’s Chief Innovation Officer. Alongside his new role as Secretary of Digital Services, Quinn will also be the state’s Chief Information Officer.
The agency was created this year via an executive order from Scott. It dissolves the Department of Information and Innovation and brings the state’s information technology services under one body. The plan was approved by a legislative committee earlier this month.
