SEDALIA, Mo. (AP) - A woman has been charged in the death of her estranged husband whose body was buried on a Missouri farm.

Thirty-one-year-old Jema Donahue was arrested Saturday in Sedalia and charged with second-degree murder in the death of 31-year-old Javon Donahue, of Knob Noster. Bond is set at $25,000. No attorney is listed for her in online court records.

The probable cause statement says Jema Donahue admitted to using a 22 caliber semi-automatic pistol to kill her husband in her basement. KSHB-TV (https://bit.ly/2oUxkMN ) reports that Jema also told officials that she had help from two others disposing of the body.

She was arrested after Javon Donahue’s body was excavated from a Johnson County farm. It’s unclear how long he was missing. The sheriff’s office says the investigation is ongoing.
