PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Philadelphia police say one of their officers has turned himself in after being charged in a child pornography investigation.

Emmanuel Folly was charged Tuesday with sexual abuse of children, possession of child pornography and dissemination of child pornography.

Police Commissioner Richard Ross suspended Folly for 30 days with the intent to dismiss.

Folly was charged after an investigation by the department’s Special Victims Unit. They say child porn was found on his laptop, which was seized last year from the Philadelphia home where he lived with his parents.

It wasn’t immediately known if Folly has a lawyer who can comment on the charges.

The 25-year-old has been with the department for three years.
