DURHAM, N.H. (AP) - The University of New Hampshire is planning to open its outdoor pool more than a month earlier than usual.
The university completed construction of its new pool in August. Unlike the previous pool, the new one is heated, so officials anticipate opening it May 10. That will allow it be used by students before they leave for the summer, and by the Special Olympics New Hampshire program.
Pool hours will be limited for the first month, and will depend on weather.
