ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - Authorities say a suspect wanted in a homicide in Albuquerque last year has been arrested in northeastern Arizona.

Albuquerque police announced Monday that 50-year-old Terry Lee White was taken into custody in Holbrook.

It’s unclear if White has a lawyer yet.

Police issued a warrant last Friday for White’s arrest on suspicion of murder and tampering with evidence in connection with the death of 54-year-old Don Fluitt.

Fluitt was a former firefighter who was found dead in the garage of his northwest Albuquerque home on Dec. 29.

The Albuquerque Journal reports that the arrest affidavit says White’s DNA was found underneath Fluitt’s fingernails.

The newspaper says White is married to Fluitt’s ex-wife.

The couple divorced in 2009 and reportedly had an ongoing custody dispute involving their young daughter.
