PHOENIX (AP) - Authorities have arrested a masked suspect who was armed with a shotgun and allegedly fired a shot into the ceiling while robbing a restaurant in far north Phoenix and then driving off on an ATV.
Phoenix police say the investigation into the Sunday night robbery led police to a mobile home where a man matching the robber’s description was detained and later identified as the suspect.
Police say 39-year-old Jerry Krach was booked into jail Monday on suspicion of armed robbery and aggravated assault.
It wasn’t immediately clear if he has a lawyer yet.
Police say the more than 30 customers and employees in the restaurant were uninjured.
The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office and Arizona Department Public Safety helped police during their investigation of the incident.
