LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) - A therapist pleads not guilty to two dozen charges including sexual assault, blackmail and sexual exploitation of a child.
The Laramie Boomerang reports (https://bit.ly/2o2C1nz ) 48-year-old Scott Addison pleaded not guilty Tuesday to 25 felonies charges he received February. District Court Judge Tori Kricken says that the therapist could face up 275 years in prison and up to $200,000 in fines if convicted of all charges.
Addison’s trial is scheduled for Aug. 28 to Sept. 1. He has a $50,000 cash bail bond.
Defense attorney Charles Pelkey argued that his client’s significant ties to the community qualified him for a bond modification. Kricken not change the bond.
Addison was a therapist for Pendley & Associates, a mental health services provider that serves Laramie and Cheyenne.
