SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) - Police in Syracuse say they’re investigating a shooting that has claimed the life of a 21-year-old man.

Officials say officers responded around 10:40 p.m. Monday to reports of gunfire on Gifford Street. When officers arrived they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

He was taken to Upstate University Hospital, where he died from his injuries a short time later.



Police on Tuesday morning identified the victim as Naqual Bloodworth of Syracuse.

No arrests have been announced.

Detectives are continuing their investigation.
