NEW YORK (AP) - Police say they’ve charged a 17-year-old with a shooting in February that left a New York City teenager dead and another wounded.

The New York Police Department announced early Thursday that the suspect from Brooklyn was arraigned late Wednesday night on charges that include murder and assault.

Officials say officers responding to reports of a shooting on East 55th Street in Brooklyn on the afternoon of Feb. 20 found two teenage boys suffering from gunshot wounds.

The NYPD says 15-year-old Rohan Levy was near his residence on East 55th Street when he was shot in the back of the head. He died at Kings Hospital three days later. An 18-year-old had been shot in the leg. He was treated and released.

Police haven’t said what led to the shooting. Their investigation is continuing.
