“Our new president, of course, has not been in this line of work before. I think he had excessive expectations about how quickly things happen in the democratic process,” Sen. Majority Leader Mitch McConnell told constituents in his home state of Kentucky.

Really, Mr. McConnell? You think President Trump has “excessive expectations” about wanting to get things done for the American people?

Was seven years not enough for you and your colleagues to come up with a plan to repeal and replace Obamacare?

Do you think it’s excessive for us to want you working more than 132 days each year?

Don’t get it twisted, Mr. McConnell. President Trump was elected to drain the swamp and to change Washington forever. The way things work in Washington is not how we, the American people, want things to work anymore because they are not working for us!

There are millions of people across this nation who have suffered at the hands of the petty indecisiveness of the congressmen and congresswomen who refuse to recognize the need for efficiency, boldness and immediacy. Republican and Democrat, black and white, young and old, these Americans cannot wait anymore for solutions.

This is not The Game of Life or Monopoly. This is the real world. Unlike you and your colleagues, we aren’t lucky enough to be exempted from Obamacare and we certainly are not all lucky enough to have our health care paid for by taxpayer dollars.

Nobody in Congress should have to be incentivized by President Trump, special interests or polls to get things done for the American people!

We are ready for the promises made to us to be kept. We want bills on President Trump’s desk to be signed into law before another year goes by with little to no progress. We deserve better.

We want Obamacare repealed and/or replaced so that people aren’t forced to work extra jobs to pay for their health care. We want lower taxes so that we can better take care of our families and stimulate the economy.

Please, do not turn your backs on us and our newly elected president because the minute you turn your backs on us is the minute we, the American people, turn our backs, even more, on you.
