Police: Man assaulted 12-year-old girl at gunpoint

NEW YORK (AP) - Police in New York City are searching for a man who they say sexually assaulted a 12-year-old girl.

WABC-TV reports (https://7ny.tv/2vTWuiB ) the assault occurred around 11:25 a.m. Sunday in the Claremont section of the Bronx. According to police, a 12-year-old girl was forced into an alley at gunpoint by a man and then assaulted.

The victim was later treated at a nearby hospital.

An investigation is continuing.
