PHILADELPHIA (AP) - A fast-moving blaze at a Philadelphia apartment complex overnight has left a firefighter and two residents injured.

Fire Capt. William Dixon says the firefighter is in stable condition, but had no additional information on the injuries.

The two residents were taken to a hospital and one was listed in critical condition. The other person’s condition wasn’t available.

The fire was reported just before 12:30 a.m. Tuesday in northeast Philadelphia. Firefighters arrived to find flames shooting out of a second-floor window of the three-story complex.

It was brought under control about 45 minutes later.

About 50 residents were evacuated.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
