Just in time for college football season, ESPN has updated its Apple TV streaming app to allow users to watch up to four sporting events at once.

The MultiView feature on the ESPN App for Apple TV allows users to rearrange the streams as they see fit, changing which one is displayed in the main window, and/or selecting which audio feed to listen to, Variety reported Wednesday.

Tech-news site Recode notes that while Major League Baseball allows viewers to watch two games simultaneously, what it’s seen of ESPN’s demo is “pretty slick.”

Future updates of the app may well see ESPN offering non-video content such as social-media feeds as options for the secondary titles, Variety noted.

The app also now includes a 10-minute preview feature that gives fans a few minutes of free programing before they are required to log-in with credentials from their cable or satellite provider, Variety reported.

The free-preview feature is not unprecedented in over-the-top streaming apps, however. CNN, for example, uses a similar feature for users viewing content on Web browsers or through AppleTV.
