EVERETT, Wash. (AP) - Washington state’s Snohomish County is suing a construction company on grounds that it ignored multiple requests to stop work.
The Daily Herald reported (https://bit.ly/2xwbsZt ) Wednesday that code officials accuse the company of doing extensive work without permits.
The site is located in the county’s census-designated place Maltby. A truck factory is planned to go up once the 10-acre (40,470-square meter) area is cleared.
The lawsuit claims code inspectors ordered crews to stop working, only to find the crews continuing construction the next day.
It claims code officials paid a visit for a third consecutive day and were finally able to shut down the equipment.
Construction officials declined to comment.
OSW Equipment & Repair Inc. plans to operate the truck factory. It has a majority stake in the company doing the construction.
