Oregon fast-food worker accused of impersonating officer

ALBANY, Ore. (AP) - An Oregon fast-food worker has been charged with impersonating an officer after police say he threatened to handcuff his manager.

The Albany Democrat-Herald reports (https://bit.ly/2wFEw4d ) the incident happened Wednesday, when the 30-year-old man told his boss he wanted time off. Police say the worker explained he had a second job as a sheriff’s deputy and needed the weekend free to volunteer with Albany police.

The skeptical boss asked for a photo of his work schedule as a deputy.

After a trip to his car, the employee returned and told his boss that she violated a government code by asking for a photo of government property. He said his supervisor told him to arrest her.

When he took out the handcuffs, the manager asked him to leave.

Albany police said the employee -Chucheng Xiong -has been cited to appear in court Sept. 6.

His listed phone number is disconnected and it’s unknown if he has a lawyer.
