Woman’s body found in Zachary

ZACHARY, La. (AP) - A woman’s body has been found in Zachary.

WAFB-TV reports Police Chief David McDavid says the woman was found Saturday near Hwy. 19 and Zachary Road.

Her body was seen by a passerby, who notified police.

McDavid says it’s not clear if the woman died at the scene of if the body was left at that location.

The Zachary Police Department is currently investigating.

The cause of death has not been determined.
