NEW ORLEANS (AP) - A Louisiana woman has pleaded guilty to four counts of preparing fraudulent tax returns.

Acting U.S. Attorney Duane A. Evans for Louisiana’s Eastern District said 49-year-old Shawanda Nevers, who operated 3LJ’s Cafe Services & Sports Bar LLC and 3LJ’s Industrial Service Solutions LLC in the LaPlace area, filed fraudulent returns between 2011 and 2016 despite a federal judge permanently enjoining her from doing so in 2014.

As part of a plea deal announced Thursday, Nevers admitted owing the Internal Revenue Service $6.9 million in restitution as well as $128,900 to the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill Trust and $964 to the Social Security Administration.

Nevers faces up to three years in prison on each count. Sentencing is set for Nov. 15 before U.S. District Judge Susie Morgan.
