PHILADELPHIA (AP) - A man has been ordered to stand trial for the death of a Marine veteran who was shot outside a Philadelphia bar.
The Philadelphia Inquirer reports (https://bit.ly/2esa5qY ) Randy Johnson is facing charges that include murder, attempted murder and burglary.
Jorge Arroyo testified during Wednesday’s preliminary hearing that he and his cousin, 47-year-old Howard White, had stopped by the Green Parrot Tavern in June.
Arroyo says White was escorting Johnson from the bar when he saw his cousin put his hands up and heard two gunshots. Arroyo says he drew his weapon and chased Johnson.
A second witness testified the man then broke into his home. Javier Vazquez says Johnson struck him several times before he and his son were able to subdue him until police arrived.
