ROYALTON, Vt. (AP) - Vermont State Police say they’ve arrested a motorist accused of leaving the scene of a fatal crash in the town of Royalton.

Troopers say 38-year-old Jeremy Potwin was arrested without incident at his home Saturday night in the town of Bethel.

Troopers believe Potwin was behind the wheel of a car that crashed into a guardrail late Friday. Police arrived to find 38-year-old James Arbuckle dead and another passenger with minor injuries. But there was no sign of the driver, who’d fled.

Potwin, who is due in court on Monday, faces charges including leaving the scene of a crash resulting in death and driving with a suspended license. He as being held on $25,000 bail Sunday at Southern State Correctional Facility. It was unclear if he had a lawyer.
