CRAFTSBURY, Vt. (AP) - Officials say they have added more security after a Vermont town office was burglarized.

Vermont State Police say the break-in at the Craftsbury town office took place after the office closed July 28.

Selectman Jim Jones tells the Caledonian Record (https://bit.ly/2vihf4N ) officials believe less than several hundred dollars in cash was stolen from envelopes in the office. Jones says the suspected thief also damaged the door frame and door jam.

Jones says the selectman have since installed electronic locks on doors entering the hall, and added heat sensors to the garage and office building.

The select board may propose adding video surveillance cameras at their next meeting.

The burglary is still under investigation.
