SUWANEE, Ga. (AP) - Police in Georgia have arrested a man accused of fatally stabbing a woman.

Gwinnett County police Cpl. Michele Pihera said in an email that Jesse Bodie was captured Tuesday at a Kroger grocery store near Stone Mountain after officers received a tip that he was there. It wasn’t immediately clear whether he had a lawyer.

Bodie had active warrants for murder and aggravated assault related to the stabbing Monday of 33-year-old Vera Tulbure at a home in Suwanee. Officers responded to the home after a family member found Tulbure, who had been stabbed multiple times. She died later at a hospital.

Police say it appears Bodie and Tulbure had been dating for about a year. Pihera said police had previously responded to reports of domestic disputes between the two.
