WHITWELL, Tenn. (AP) - A woman whose dog authorities say bit a patrol officer has been charged.

WRCB-TV reports that Marion County Sheriff Ronnie “Bo” Burnett says Officer Justin Graham responded to a domestic disturbance call Sunday night and was attacked by Tiffany Foshee’s pitbull. Graham was bitten twice on his left hand and once on the leg, before shaking the dog loose.

Foshee has been charged with interfering with a police investigation.

Burnett says officers have responded to several calls at the home before, but have never encountered a dog. He says officers knocked on the door for a while and the biggest question is if Foshee opened the door knowing that the dog would attack.

More charges might be filed. It’s unclear if Foshee has a lawyer.
