PITTSBURGH (AP) - Pittsburgh police say a drug suspect fired one shot at city detectives before he was subdued with the use of a stun gun.

Police say the detectives encountered the suspect, whose name wasn’t immediately released, about 9:10 p.m. Tuesday. The detectives were with the narcotics and vice unit and suspected the man was involved in drug activity, but they say he ran away while they were speaking with him.

At one point, the man turned and fired at the detectives while running, but none of the officers was injured.

Police used the stun gun when they caught up with him.

The man was being treated at a hospital, but police say he’s in custody and will likely face felony drug charges and aggravated assault for shooting at police.
