An Egyptian singer will have the next two years — in jail — to reflect on her decision to suggestively eat fruit in a music video.

Singer Shaimaa Ahmed, 25, was convicted of inciting debauchery and publishing an indecent film on Tuesday for the recent creation of a music video called “I Have Issues.”

The singer, who goes by Shyma, was arrested last month when authorities objected to her innuendo involving a banana.

“I didn’t imagine all this would happen and that I would be subjected to such a strong attack from everyone,” she wrote in a now-deleted Facebook post, BBC reported Tuesday.

The singer apologized before her arrest to anyone who interpreted the music video “in an inappropriate way,” but to no avail.

An unidentified director of the video also received a two-year sentence in absentia, BBC reported.
