WORCESTER, Mass. (AP) - Police are seeking the public’s help in their investigation into the death of a man whose body was found in a burned vehicle at a Massachusetts cemetery.

Police and firefighters responded to Hope Cemetery in Worcester around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday after the car was discovered.

Anyone who was in or near the cemetery between 8:15 a.m. and 9 a.m. Tuesday and saw a pedestrian being picked up by a vehicle is asked to call police.

Worcester police tell the Telegram & Gazette they are still classifying the man’s death as “suspicious.”

Lt. Sean Murtha says police know who owns the vehicle but didn’t say whether the vehicle owner was the person found dead inside the car.

Murtha says the car was found at the rear of the cemetery.
