ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) - University of Central Florida police say a weapons threat at the school’s main campus was a hoax.

A WFTV-TV report quoted a police statement as saying a man who “clearly sounded as if he was under the influence of drugs” made the threatening call Tuesday evening.

Police said the man claimed to be armed.

Officers canvassed the area, but a men’s basketball game was played as scheduled Tuesday evening.

No arrests have been made.
