HAMPTON, Conn. (AP) - Authorities have released the name of the man who died when the pickup truck he was driving crashed into a house in Connecticut.
State police say the crash happened around 12:40 p.m. Tuesday at a home on Route 6 in Hampton.
The driver, identified Wednesday as 32-year-old Patrick Dunn, of New London, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was wearing a seat belt. The truck was owned by a Stafford Springs-based tree removal company.
The truck was traveling east when it veered off the right shoulder and into the home.
Police say the home sustained a large hole in the foundation but no one inside was hurt.
