ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) - Gov. Larry Hogan has appointed Baltimore Del. Nathaniel Oaks to replace former Sen. Lisa Gladden, who resigned last month for health reasons.

Oaks, a Democrat, was sworn in on Friday to the seat representing District 41.

Oaks served in the House of Delegates from 1983 to 1989 and from 1995 to the present.

He has served on the Health and Government Operations Committee since 2003 as well as the Administrative, Executive, and Legislative Review Committee.
