MAPLEWOOD, N.J. (AP) - Essex County authorities charged two men Friday in the murders of three people found in an apartment last month.

Acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn Murray says one suspect, former Egg Harbor Township resident Jimmy Mays, 37, was arrested in Maryland and is being held there.

A second suspect, 33-year-old Galloway Township resident Lavelle Davis, remains at large. Authorities said he is considered armed and dangerous.

Both men have been charged with three counts of murder as well as with conspiracy, felony murder, robbery and weapons offenses.

The victims were identified as 45-year-old Michael Davis, of Maplewood, 30-year-old Roshana Kelson, and 44-year-old Lance Fraser, of Newark.

The three were found shot to death in a home in Maplewood on Jan. 29.

The Maplewood fire department responded to the house around 11:45 a.m. Sunday after someone called to report that they were unable to reach the occupants of the apartments.

Firefighters used a ladder to get inside and found the three victims.
