ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - An Albuquerque-area man faces multiple charges accusing him of going on a rampage in his neighborhood, including allegedly killing a small poodle by throwing it into a yard where two larger dogs killed it.
The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Department says deputies learned of the dog’s death Tuesday while investigating a report that 30-year-old Marvin Riley had forced his way into a home and knocked an occupant unconscious with a large metal object.
Riley remains jailed on suspicion of extreme animal cruelty, aggravated battery with great bodily harm and aggravated burglary.
Online court records don’t list a defense attorney who could comment on the allegations.
