DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - A mother and daughter whose neglect led to a child in their care being injured have been sentenced to two years’ probation.

Des Moines television station KCCI reports (https://bit.ly/2lMzmuJ ) that Cindy Hold and Amanda Holt will not be allowed to operate a child care, nor be allowed to have contact with children under 18 to whom they are not related.

Last month, Cindy Holt pleaded guilty to child endangerment causing injury, a felony. Her daughter, Amanda, pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor child endangerment count.

The charges stemmed from an incident last summer when a child in their care was taken to the hospital covered in human bite marks. Police reported the bites were from another child and required medical attention, which was not given by the Holts.
