AVONDALE, Ariz. (AP) - Maricopa County is about to open a fourth regional court center that will replace and consolidate facilities for four justice courts serving parts of Phoenix and multiple southwestern suburbs.

County officials scheduled tours and other activities Wednesday at the Southwest Regional Court Center in Avondale in advance of the Feb. 21 opening of the facility to the public.

The 75,000-square-foot facility houses justice courts for the Agua Fria, Country Meadows, Maryvale and White Tank precincts. Those precincts incorporate parts of Avondale, Buckeye, Glendale, Goodyear, Litchfield Park, Phoenix and Tolleson.

Along with multiple court buildings in and near downtown Phoenix, the county court system already has regional centers for northwestern, northeastern and southeastern portions of the Phoenix area.
