SOUH PARK, Pa. (AP) - Authorities say a man killed himself following a long standoff during which they say he fired shots and set fire to his residence.

The Allegheny County medical examiner’s office said Wednesday that death early Tuesday of 37-year-old Daniel Wang was ruled a suicide.

South Park police said a woman told police at about 4 p.m. Monday that her husband had threatened her and any police officers he might encounter.

Chief Dennis McDonough said officers tried to get him to come out, but he refused - and at one point fired shots but didn’t appear to be aiming at anyone.

McDonough said the man later set fire to the town house. Police and firefighters put out the first-floor blaze and found Wang dead on the second floor.
