PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Police in Philadelphia say officers have shot and wounded a man who allegedly pointed a gun at them.

WPVI-TV (https://6abc.cm/2lNboT9 ) reports officers on patrol Wednesday night saw two men leave what they say is a known drug location, and then they heard a car alarm.

Police say an officer frisked one of the men and felt a gun. The man then took off, unknowingly running toward other officers. Police say the man pointed a gun at the officers and then ran into an alley. The officers fired their weapons, hitting the suspect.

The unidentified man was taken to a hospital, where he’s listed in critical condition. Police say they recovered a gun at the scene.
