COTTAGE GROVE, Wis. (AP) - A Cottage Grove day care center is rallying support for the toddler twins whose father was killed in a car crash that also left their mother in critical condition.

A funeral service for Kirk U’Ren will be held Saturday in Mineral Point. U’ren and his wife Jennifer were on their way to a Badgers game last Sunday when their car was struck by another vehicle on Highway 30 in Madison. Kirk died at the scene. Jennifer remains hospitalized in critical condition.

Kids’ Safari Learning Center program director Terra Klein tells WISC-TV (https://bit.ly/2kJGCXm ) twins Kayden and Grayson have been cared for at the center since they were infants. The boys continued to play at Safari this week. Klein says creating a sense of normalcy is imperative.

Safari is covering the day care expenses and is organizing a fundraiser for the family.
