RENO, Nev. (AP) - Police in Reno say they’re investigating a fatal car accident that involved an impaired driver.

Officers responded to the crash scene just before midnight Saturday.

They say the driver of one vehicle was dead at the scene and the other driver appeared to be intoxicated.

Police say two passengers in the car of the impaired driver fled before officers arrived on the scene.

They say speed also appears to be a factor in the crash.

The name of the 21-year-old impaired driver wasn’t immediately released and police say the identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of relatives.
