DETROIT (AP) - Federal authorities say an ex-convict wanted by police was shot in Detroit after he rammed a U.S. Marshals Service vehicle.
Edward Burgett was in serious condition at a Detroit hospital. A team of deputy marshals and police officers was trying to capture the 31-year-old Tuesday.
The Marshals Service says Burgett has a long criminal history and was wanted for a parole violation and motor vehicle theft, among other offenses.
Detroit police and Michigan State Police are investigating the shooting.
