BROCKTON, Mass. (AP) - Police have arrested a man they say killed a man by striking him over the head inside a Brockton apartment.
A spokeswoman for Plymouth District Attorney Timothy Cruz says Michael Pircio is scheduled to arraigned Tuesday on a murder charge in connection with the death of 29-year-old William James Porter.
Authorities say the suspect struck Porter over the head with an object during an altercation inside the victim’s apartment at about 1 a.m. Tuesday. Authorities did not say what that object was.
Another person in the apartment at the time dialed 911 and Porter was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
It was not clear if Pircio has hired a lawyer.
