SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - Police are looking for information about a rash of church burglaries in the Sioux Falls area.
At least four churches in or around Sioux Falls were broken into on Monday but police say the damage was minimal.
Jon Moeller, congregation president of Messiah New Hope Lutheran Church, told the Argus Leader (https://argusne.ws/2lCQtkS ) that the suspect, or suspects, went directly to the safe in their main office. He said there was no other damage in the church and that it was the work of someone who “knew what they were doing.”
Police didn’t immediately provide information on how much or what was stolen from the churches and say they don’t have any suspects.
