BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - The North Dakota Legislature has begun twice-daily floor sessions in each house to clear remaining measures before its midsession break.
The Legislature has acted on more than 80 percent of the 812 bills and resolutions that have been introduced. The House and Senate are planning two floor sessions daily Tuesday through Thursday to finish work before Friday.
The House had 82 bills and resolutions to finish as of Tuesday morning, while the Senate had 22.
Lawmakers intend to take Friday off instead to get an extra day before the session resumes on March 1 and when House members will begin working on Senate bills, and vice versa.
